The Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Nepal Country Grant has now closed.
The grant is funded by the UK Department of Health and Social Care under its Fleming Fund Grants Programme. Mott MacDonald, the Fleming Fund manage agent for country grants, invited proposals from qualified licensed/registered entities in Nepal to work toward strengthening antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and antimicrobial usage (AMU) surveillance in Nepal.
The objectives of the grant have been developed and agreed in partnership with the Government of Nepal. The objectives are to:
- enable Nepal to establish a surveillance technical working group to support the Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of AMR
- strengthen the surveillance of AMR and monitoring of antimicrobial medicine use, in humans, animals and agriculture
- support these aims by providing training, documentation, methods and protocols, as well equipping or refurbishing laboratories across 12 sites
