Proposals Under Review
The National Action Plan on AMR has been approved by Papua New Guinea’s National Department of Health and is currently undergoing full ratification by the Government of Papua New Guinea. The Fleming Fund supported the development of this plan through its Global Grant to WHO.
Through its Global Grant to WHO, the Fleming Fund is also supporting work on optimising the use of antimicrobial medicines, and on capacity to test these medicines for their quality in PNG.
The Fleming Fund has worked with the Papua New Guinea’s National Antimicrobial Resistance Steering Committee (NAMRSC) to develop a Request For Proposals (RFP) for a grant that can support the implementation of key priorities from the countries National Action Plan.
The aim is to support Papua New Guinea's action to strengthen the One Health surveillance systems and information sharing.
The Request for Proposals for the Papua New Guinea Country Grant is now closed and applications are being reviewed.
