Proposals Under Review
The Fleming Fund has worked with the Government of Eswatini’s Antimicrobial Coordinating Committee to develop a Request For Proposal (RFP) for a grant that will support the implementation of key priorities from the country’s National Action Plan.
The aim is to strengthen Eswatini’s One Health governance to oversee antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial use/consumption surveillance across animal and human health sectors.
The RFP was published in August 2019 and applications are now being reviewed.
The Fleming Fund have supported Eswatini through the WHO grant. Specifically, Eswatini have attended workshops that support countries to develop and implement their National Action Plans as well as receiving direct support from WHO on this. Furthermore, they were supported through this grant to undertake a robust situation analysis, providing information on the threat of AMR in-country.
